Harold (Andy) Anderson

02/02/1942 ~ 09/02/2014

Born February 2, 1942, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Harold Brent Anderson, suddenly slipped away in his sleep to return home to his Father in Heaven on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. This un-timely departure happened on his 48th Wedding Anniversary of being married to the love of life, Suzanne Posell Anderson.

He was born in Ogden, Utah, a son of Alvin Bennett Anderson and Melba Ruth Burton Anderson. Harold graduated from Weber High School in 1960.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an LDS Mission in the West Central Sates from 1961 to 1963.

Harold served in the US Air Force and Army Reserve.

He was born and raised a dairy farmer, then continued his lifelong adventure being a farmer until the day he died. He was a barber out of his home. Later in life, he went on to drive trucks for commercial companies and privately for the remainder of his life.

Harold spent the last 48 years of his life married to his sweetheart, Suzanne, and together they raised six amazing, talented, beautiful, hard-working children; Michelle (Mike) Solum, Dawnell (Cal) Musselman, Shawnell (Roger) Thurgood, Mikell (April) Anderson, Daniel (Jessie) Anderson, Lashelle Anderson and Jim (Lori) Birt, who was also valued as a son to him. He cherished his 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with all of his heart and each one of them knew they were his favorite. He also leaves behind his siblings, Bennett Anderson, Burton Anderson, Melba Bodily, Margaret Henstra, and Connie Shipp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Jessica Thurgood, and grandsons James Brent Anderson and Brody Nelson.

In his honor, a viewing will be held Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8th at the West Haven Stake Center, 3300 South 4700 West with a viewing one hour prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
