OGDEN – Harold John Hardy, 94, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Ogden, UT. He was born September 6, 1918 in Taft, CA, to Andrew John and Claudia Webre Hardy. In his youth, Harold’s father was an oil field worker, therefore, the family moved from Texas to Arkansas, and later settled in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, where his parents originated.
He married Mildred West on September 7, 1957. She passed away on September 19, 1997. Harold traveled the world while in the Army and served in three wars. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Harold loved reading, watching basketball, and eating at his favorite restaurant, Sizzler.
Harold is survived by daughters Tina (Rick) Newcomb, Longmont, CO; Holly (Johnnie) Hertzke, Layton; five grandchildren: Christopher John Angner, Longmont, CO, Jennifer Kristy Cole Callantine, Ogden, Marnie Jean Angner, Longmont, CO, Daniel Lance Cole, Ogden, Andrew Bruce Angner, Longmont, CO; two great-grandchildren: Braiden Daniel Cole, Ogden, Aiden Conley DeBolt, Longmont, CO, one sister Mary Lou Hardy Ballenger, Marrietta, GA; and many other extended family members.
Preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two younger brothers.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
