Harold Edwin Hull

December 21, 1921 ~ October 4, 2016

Mr. Harold Edwin Hull, 94 years old of North Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.  He was born to Roy Ernest and May Jane Cranor Hull on December   21, 1921, the seventh child of ten children.  Mr. Hull was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married Donna Mae Davis on July 8, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. Donna Mae passed away on January 31, 1961 in Los Angeles, while undergoing open heart surgery.  On April 21, 1970 he married LaPreal Joy Boyce in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae, both his parents, and all of his siblings.

Mr. Hull graduated from the University of Utah in Logan with a degree in agriculture, and taught organic farming.  He served as a combat pilot in Burma, China, and India during WWII, and retired from the Air Force as a Master-Sargent in 1960.  He then worked for the Department of Defense in Ogden, Utah for 37 years.

Mr. Hull is survived by his wife, LaPreal J. Hull; children, Donna Jeannette Douglas of San Antonio, Texas; Arthur Edwin Hull of Santa Cruz, California; Kathleen Hannah Hull-Welsh of Crestine, California; and Mark Ellis Hull of North Ogden, Utah; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.

While the family is saddened by the passing of their Father and Grandfather, they know he has had a happy reunion in Heaven with his many loved ones who have passed on before.  For the past 18 months, Mr. Hull was lovingly and tenderly cared for in his home by his devoted daughter, Kathleen Hull Welsh.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
