November 26, 1933 ~ April 2, 2015
Harold Wesley Mahany passed away peacefully in his home in Richland, Washington on April 2, 2015. Harold was born on November 26, 1933 to Margaret and Ira Mahany in Fruita, Colorado. At a very early age, he moved with his family from Colorado to Utah where he attended school and graduated from Weber High.
Harold was married to Nancy Jane Gibbons and together they had Ralph, Steven, Becky and Julie. They divorced but remained friends.
On January 26, 1973 Harold married his sweetheart and eternal companion Carlene Crosby. They loved to dance. Carlene had two children from a previous marriage, Scott Essley and Kelley (Greg) McClune. Together they had Matthew Mahany. They lived in South Weber, Utah for 41 years and then moved to Richland, Washington where he spent his last 11 months. He had 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Harold worked as Real Estate Agent and co-owned a Jiffy Lube, a Master Muffler and Charlie Brown (a private club). He was very talented with his woodworking and enjoyed his carpentry skills. Harold was always willing to serve others and used his talents to bless the lives of many. He was a kind man and a hard worker.
He loved his family immensely and made friends with many people. He will be truly missed.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Graveside services will be held on April 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens on the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
