RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. a€" Harold Christian Rasmussen passed away peacefully at Sunlit Gardens Assisted Living in Rancho Cucamonga, on Sunday, July 26, 2009.

He was born November 17, 1923 in Elsinore, Utah to Lars and Eva Rasmussen, one of seven children.

Harold served his country with the U.S. Navy as a Motor Machinist Mate in WWII. He enjoyed telling stories about his experience in the war.

On November 18, 1950, Harold married Ruey Jean Dixon of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Jean preceded him in death on July 15, 1999. Harold found love a second time with Tamara Arceneaux and they were married in December of 2002. Tamara preceded him in death on July 31, 2004.

Harold was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Retiring from Hill Air Force Base as a Flight Line Mechanic after 30 years of service, he enjoyed traveling, his dog Puffer, and visiting with his family.

He is survived by his sister, Laura Quartararo and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
