Harold A. Weber
Harold A. Weber of Clearfield, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Harold was born April 18, 1924 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma to James H. Weber and Mabel L. Radford. He married Georgie Marie Harris on May 18, 1946 in Harrison, Arkansas.
Harold served in the U.S. Army from 1944 a" 1946 and also served in the Air Force Reserve from 1950 a" 1956, receiving a Honorable discharge from both. He was a member of the LDS Clearfield 1st Ward.
He retired from Hill AFB in 1981, after 30 years of service. After retiring he spent most of his time in his work shop building toys, jewelry boxes and other wood items. He would give most of them away to children less fortunate in his ward. He was a very giving and unselfish man.
Harold is survived by his wife Marie (Toots), sons Harold (Gene) and Patti Weber of Syracuse; Ronald W. Weber of Clearfield; and Jimmy D. Weber of Ogden; granddaughters, Jayme (Shawn) Munns, Jodie (Brian) Sparrow, great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jordan, Allison, Kody and Madison. He is also survived by his sister, Mildred Kopinski of Ogden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
The family would like to give special thanks to his Hospice nurse Sherri who showed such caring and compassion for dad. Also we would like to thank special friends (whom he called daughters) Eva Shurtz and Carlene Duran for their kindness and help during these difficult times.
