Harold O. Wilson
ROY – Harold O. Wilson, 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Ogden.
He was born June 27, 1926 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the son of Charles Oran and Ruth E. Wilson.
On January 26, 1946, Harold married Ruth Edmiston in Reno, Nevada. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on January 26, 1996. Ruth preceded him in death.
He was raised and educated in Jackson Hole where he played on the high school basketball team.
Harold joined the U.S Army Air Corp in 1944. Following his discharge he moved to Ogden and worked for the O.U.R. & D Railroad. He then worked for General Electric as a traffic manager retiring in 1987. After his retirement, he worked part time for C H Dredge Trucking as a salesman.
He was an active member of the North Davis Rotary Club and served on the Supervisory Committee at Golden West Credit Union. Harold loved to golf and was a member of the Ogden Golf and Country Club. One of his proudest moments was his Hole-in-One at the club in 2006. He also enjoyed traveling, family cook outs and fishing with his sons.
Surviving are three sons, Harold D. (Susan), Roy; Wayne (Betty), Riverdale; Chris (Christine) Roy; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and his good friend, Lucille Beyeler.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
