Harriett Plummer

November 27, 1939 — March 4, 2019

Harriett Joan Traster Plummer passed away with grace and dignity March 4, 2019.

After 79 years being: Faithful, Kind, Compassionate, a Good Sport, Loving, Fair, Tough, and an Inspiration – The Angels took her home to our Heavenly Father.

She was born in Syracuse Indiana on November 27, 1939 to Fredrick D Traster and Bessie May Kincaide Traster.

She graduated Valedictorian from Syracuse High School in 1957 and went on to graduate with honors from Stephen Henager College with an Associates of Science in Accounting and Business Management in June 1978.

Harriett married Fredrick Dale Plummer Jr. May 11, 1957 in Syracuse Indiana and later divorced in 1969.

She worked several jobs for the next few years including at the Ogden Internal Revenue Service facility, she retired after 26 years of service from Hill Air Force Base as Civilian Missal Logistics Scheduler.

Harriett was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was also an active member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, Indiana Chapter.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, genealogy, cooking and especially spending time with her family and always welcomed friends young and old.  She spent many hours and traveled many miles with her daughter Lynne Coster researching and documenting our family lineage.

She is survived by her six children, Kim Roberts, Woods Cross Utah, Tim and Teresa Plummer Salem Oregon, Lynne Coster, Murray Utah, Cindy Mikkelsen, Layton, Utah, Jenny and Steve Goodchild, Sandy, Utah, Tom and Jody Plummer Midvale, Utah, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road Layton Utah. Friends may visit family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
