Harry “Casey” W. Crawford, Sr.
ROY – Harry “Casey” Warren Crawford, Sr., 83, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 18, 1923 in Newark, Ohio, a son of Harrison and Viva Dell Bevard Crawford.
On January 28, 1956, Harry married Phyllis Gailey in Elko, Nevada. Phyllis preceded him in death on May 21, 2005.
He served his country during World War II and the Korean War with the U.S. Army Air Corp.
Harry retired from Hill Air Force Base following many years of service as a catalog publisher.
He was a member of the American Legion and B.P.O.E. Elks. He enjoyed making chili, telling stories, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, rides in the car, new restaurants and old favorites. He also loved to go fishing and hunting. Harry was a loving father and grandfather, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Harry W. Jr., (Karen Jo) Crawford, Clinton; Tonya Sue Hammer (Shawn Byrne), Roy; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Bill Crawford, Danny Crawford and Sandy Pasco, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Harry in death were his wife, his parents, one brother, two sisters and a son-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
