Harry Lewis Scott III, born December 16, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Harry Lewis Scott Jr. and Charlene Virginia Cummings Scott died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 of complications due to cancer.

He loved camping, fishing and hunting. He was a regular on American Band Stand. He loved helping people and trained disabled individuals. Harry helped them with independent living and job skills. He served an LDS mission in Anchorage, Alaska.

He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He especially liked being santa for the children.

Harry married Annette Snow in 1968. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1968. She preceded him in death in November 1994. He married Ann Spainhower on December 28, 2006 in the Ogden Temple.

Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Scott, father, Harry Scott Jr., grandson, Anthony Glen Watkins, Alva and Jean Snow.

Survived by his mother, Charlene Scott, Syracuse; wife, Ann Scott, Syracuse; sister, Jeanette (Larry) Gelatt, AZ; Carolyn Yaws, Paulett Dodd, AZ; Melody (Stewart)Archibald, Syracuse; Robyn (Dave) Hunsaker, Layton; children, Tracy (Keith) Watkins, Clinton; Tyler (Cindy) Scott, Roosevelt; Stephanie Giddings, Sweet Home, OR; Kevin (Raylene) Scott, Roosevelt; Michael (Becca) Wilkins, Springville; Benjamin (Brooke) Wilkins, Layton; Angela (Devin) Hale, Anthem, AZ; Becky (Jake) Field, Washington Terrace; Aimee (Jake) Jorgensen, Layton; Heather Wilkins, Layton; Mindy (Lewis) Lofton, Layton; 31 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 7th Ward, 1625 So. 1100 W. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Roosevelt City Cemetery.
