Harry L. Kenyon
ROY – Harry L. Kenyon, 86, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at home after a long illness.
He was born September 12, 1925 in Westford, Richland County, Wisconsin to Clarence and Carrie Mae Kenyon. Dad was the last survivor of 10 children and proud of his family’s farming heritage.
Harry married Avis E. Graham April 20, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV. They celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary prior to Mom passing in 1987. Dad never stopped missing her.
Dad was a believer in hard work, education and helping others. He always had time to share with family or neighbors in need of his great skills. Dad could build or fix anything and often did. He happily served his country for 40 years in the Army Air Corps/Air Force in WWII and later in Korea. He retired from the Air Force in 1963 and continued serving his country as a quality inspector at Hill Air Force Base until 1982 when he retired again.
Harry is survived by his four children: James (Jan) Kenyon and Richard Kenyon, both of Phoenix, AZ; Louise (Jeff) McFadden of Syracuse, UT and Cindy (Robert) Sikes of Ogden, UT; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Dad loved all of us so dearly that he was speaking of each family member within hours of his passing.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. where military honors will be accorded.
Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
Thank you McKay Dee, Dr. Heaton and Dr. Lund and Vista Care Hospice.
