Haruko “Mary” Nozaki
PLAIN CITY – Haruko “Mary” Nozaki, 86, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 19, 1922 in Farr West, a daughter of Shigejiro and Tome Endo Kawaguchi.
On March 15, 1944, Mary married Kazuo “Bill” Nozaki in Ogden. Bill preceded her in death on April 16, 1978.
She was raised and educated in Farr West. She also lived in Clinton but spent most of her life in Plain City.
She owned and operated a farm for many years. Mary also worked for Allan Plant Company.
Mary loved to bowl, Japanese embroidery and working in her garden.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathryn (Calvin) Kaya, Bozeman, MT; Bonnie (Hiroshi) Ozaki, North Ogden; Amy (Dana) Anderson, Plain City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
