Harvey Paul Bergen

Harvey Paul Bergen passed away Thursday, July 6, 2007.

He was born January 19, 1921 in Corrine, Utah to Hans P. and Margethe Christensen Bergen.

Harvey served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1947 during World War II and from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict.

He married Darlene Jane Conyers in April of 1948. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2007.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The highlight of his life was spending time with his great-grandchildren, Brody John and Dax.

Harvey is survived by three sons, Paul (Danielle) Bergen, Tokyo, Japan; Christopher (Jerri) Bergen, Upland, CA; David Sterling, Seattle, WA; a daughter, Jeanette George, Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Holly Thompson, Adam Bergen, Daniel Bergen, Haley Swaner, Hans Bergen; two great-grandchildren, Brody John and Dax ; and a sister, Beth Gault, San Pedro, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, Delore, Rudy, and three sisters, Ruth, Orpha and Marge.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Friends and family may call Thursday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m., at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. The family expresses sincere appreciation to the staff at Inspiration Hospice and the Rest Easy Adult Day Care.
