Harvey Dee Elliott
OGDEN- Harvey Dee Elliott born October 26, 1939 in Delta, Utah passed away surrounded by his family on August 17, 2012.
I was born the second son to James A. Elliott and Myrleen Talbot. I attended schools in Ogden where I met my wife Patsie Lou Crow. We were married November 2, 1959 and our marriage was solemnized February 8, 2008 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Together we had six children and many other kids that called us Mom and Dad. We enjoyed and had fun with anyone that entered our home.
I held many different jobs in my life and my primary job was with the Union Pacific Rail Road where I worked for over forty years before my retirement in 1999. I have enjoyed a wonderful life including hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, the outdoors, all gun shooting, coin collecting, and spending time with family. I was a Utah Hunter Safety Instructor from 1967 until 2008 when my health no longer allowed. I enjoyed re-loading bullets for my kids, grandkids, and friends.
I had two brothers Gary (Sharon) Elliott and Keith (Sally) Elliott, along with my wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and mother. I loved each and all the same and I will be with each of you always. I want to thank all that was a friend to me.
I am survived by my children Grant (Wanda) Elliott, Harvey Lee Elliott, Scott (Kimberly) Elliott, Cheri (Tom) Hendry, Ron (Tonya) Elliott, and Kim (Gul) Elliott; mother Myrleen Lund, brother Gary (Sharon) Elliott, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many other family members.
I am preceded in death by my wife Patsie Lou Crow Elliott, grandson AJ Sheetz, great-grandson Travis Leavell, step-father Grant Taylor, brother William Keith Elliott, and father James A. Elliott.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
The family wants to express sincere gratitude to Bristol Hospice; especially Autumn McKell and Vlad Diaz for the care they gave to Dad.
