On June 24, 1966, DeWayne married his high school sweetheart for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple. In his limited free time, his family often found him sitting at a computer seeking family relationships through genealogical research. He also had a passion for restoring antique and classic cars, as well as being an avid reader of everything.
He is survived by Jill, his wife of 51 years; his five children, Stephen (Stacy), Jilane Richardson (Todd), Brett (Tami), Angie Pitt (Brooke), and Heidi Thornock (Aaron); a foster daughter, Laurice Sayer (Bret); and multiple grandchildren.
