Heather Dennis Moyes

1974-2017

Can anyone count the number of stars in the skies, or the number of lives Heather touched during her brief 42 years on earth? One of her greatest joys in life was blessing and bringing happiness to all who were privileged to know and love her.

Heather made her miraculous entrance into this world November 1, 1974 and returned home peacefully, but unexpectedly, on January 20, 2017. She left this world a brighter and more beautiful place.  Provo, Utah was the place of her birth and childhood. She moved to Bountiful at the age of nine when her mother, Carol, married Jan V. McKee. She graduated from Bountiful High School in 1993, then attended the University of Utah. Because of her lifelong love of learning she was in the process of completing her degree at Weber State University while working full time. The majority of her professional career was in the office of Dr. Daniel Sellers, and most recently, Dr. Larry Sargent.

She faithfully magnified every church calling, and in turn, was deeply loved by all—especially by children and youth. She loved serving the wonderful Argentine people during her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission from 1995 to1997. She and her sweetheart, Ryan Moyes, fell in love over a bag of Argentine alfajores soon after she returned from her mission. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple October 11, 1997. Ryan was truly the love and joy of Heather’s life.

Our beautiful Heather had the gift of laughter, entertaining, organization, and especially the gift of spirituality. She loved cooking, trying new kinds of foods and new recipes, planning vacations (especially Disney), taking pictures and making photo books, playing the piano, and buying treats and surprise gifts for others. She also loved anything with bright, cheerful colors, and she brought beauty to everything she touched. . She made everyone feel they were important to her. Every niece and nephew felt they were her favorite.

Heather is survived by her dear husband, Ryan Duane Moyes, parents Carol Ball and Jan V. McKee, mother-in-law Lorraine (Jerry) Fisher, brother Gary (Gail) Dennis, sister Andrea Dennis, foster brother Chai (Cheryl) Jansrikesorn, step-siblings Stacy (Chad) Mitchell, Tammy McEaneney, and Kendall McKee.  Also survived by Ryan’s siblings Michael (Janet) Moyes, Sherilynne (Darin) McKee, Shellise (Clark) Watson, James (Susan) Moyes, and 35 nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by father-in-law John Duane Moyes, brother Terry and sister Robin.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Bountiful South Stake Center, 1250 South Main.  Friends and family may call on Friday, January 27th from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist’ Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services at the Stake Center.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
