Heather Leigh (Callahan) Whitney
Heather Leigh (Callahan) Whitney passed away on February 26, 2022, at St. Marks Hospital in Millcreek, Utah. Heather was born on May 22, 1981, in Inglewood, California to Robert David Callahan and JoAnne (Franklin) Koval.
Heather was marred to John C. Whitney on June 28, 2003, in the Los Angeles Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Prior to having children, Heather received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She worked for the Hawthorne School District for several years before becoming a full-time mother to five beautiful children.
Heather, John, and the children lived in a few different areas in the South Bay of Southern California before moving to Kaysville, Utah at the end of 2020. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different capacities.
Heather is survived by her husband, John C Whitney, and five children Ethan, Jackson, Logan, Savannah, and Greyson. Her mother JoAnne (Franklin) Koval and siblings Shawna, Erin, Scott (Jennifer) Callahan, mother-in-law Nancy Whitney and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Fox Pointe Ward Chapel, 1520 Fox Pointe Dr., Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
Our family would like to thank everyone for the generous outpouring of love and affection we have received. Heather was a very special person and made friends everywhere she went. She had a great capacity to love all she knew.
