Heidi Jo Shelton

Heidi Jo Shelton, loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away at the age of 35 on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She went out with a bang!

She was born January13, 1977 in Ogden to Dean K. and Kathy Winters Shelton. She was raised in Roy and graduated from Roy High School.

Heidi is survived by her parents, grandparents, Joe and Glenda Winters, her sister, Heather Burroughs, her brother, Joseph (JJ) Shelton, her pooch, Gracie Mae, and the most important and the love of her life, her daughter, Kady Jo Coombs "Budge".

Heidi was loved and will be greatly missed by many wonderful family members, partners and friends.

She was a proud and supportive Aunt to niece, Hannah Cook and nephews, Adam Cook, Bryson Burroughs and Holden Burroughs. She loved to attend all of their activities and games.

Being a mother to Kady was her greatest joy. Kady will miss the adventures and outings she had with her mother but she will always remember the ones from the past like they were yesterday because Heidi always had a loaded camera in her hand and photographed everything.

Heidi had a zest for life. She was quick witted and kept everyone on Facebook informed and entertained. She never shied away from speaking her mind.

She was an active member of the Gay and Lesbian Community (LGBT). She was also politically active in the Utah Democratic Party.

Heidi worked at Snowbird. She loved everything to do with the outdoors, camping, skiing and boating. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan and was looking forward to fall football.

We will celebrate Heidi''s life Monday, July 30th at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Friends and family may join us from 6 to 9 p.m.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 31st at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., South Ogden.

In lieu of flowers, Heidi''s one last gift, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to an education fund that has been set up for Kady Coombs at the Bank of Utah.
