Helen Catherine Dominguez Aragon

Helen Catherine Dominguez Aragon, 84, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Ogden Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 27, 1932 in Crested Butte, Colorado to Abel and Carlota Sequieros Dominguez. She graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1950.
On November 26, 1960, Helen married the love of her life, Arthur John Aragon, Sr. in Ogden, Utah at St. Mary Catholic Church. Art preceded her in death on April 22, 2008.
Helen was a lifelong parishioner and active member of St. Mary Catholic Church. As a Eucharistic Minister she spent many hours serving homebound parishioners and she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Helen was also a member of the Roy Elks Lodge. Throughout the years she enjoyed working with Ogden Blue, Marquardt, U & I Co-op, and Harmon’s.
In her spare time Helen loved to read, particularly the Holy Bible, but mostly her passion was serving in the church and spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her children, Arthur John (Penne) Aragon, Jr. – US Army RET, Sierra Vista, AZ; Eric Thomas (Dominique) Aragon, Salt Lake City; Mathew Abel (Beth Jones) Aragon, South Ogden; Patricia “Tricia” Catherine (Chris Harden) Aragon, Uintah; ten grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, with two on the way; and siblings, Charlotte Koehler, Layton; Abel Joseph Dominguez, Idaho Falls, ID; Vera Hansen, Bear River City; Betty Pebley, Pleasant View; Mary (Anthony) Aragon, Seattle, WA; Robert “Bob” (Dena) Dominguez, Ogden; and Lorrie (Warren) Akerson, Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, and three siblings, Bertha Martinez, Harold Dominguez and William “Bill” Dominguez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. with Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ansari and Dr. Grover as well as Helen’s nurses, Julie, Marcia, Shelia, Cynthia, Kathy, and Addie, and all of the caring staff at O.R.M.C.
