Helen W. Baur was born to James Edward and Sarah Hopkins Watlington on December 6, 1911 in Pocatello, Idaho. She passed away on January 31, 2013 at her home of causes incident to age.

On March 5, 1936 she married Ownes F. Baur and to this union they had four daughters. Ownes died on April 26, 2000. They raised their family in Preston, Idaho until 1957 and then moved to Ogden. She and Ownes loved to travel and had the opportunity to experience many different countries and much of the US. They took great pleasure in taking their family on several cruises that included many extended family members. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed sewing, candy making, china painting and making porcelain lace dolls. She always had a song for everything and her love of music was passed on to her progeny. She was an active member of the South Ogden 5th Ward. She stayed very active and involved and was able to drive her car until she was 98.

She is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Judith (J. Pymm) Chartrand of Chino Hills, CA, Charlotte (Dr. Jerry L.) Zaugg of Caldwell, ID, Pamela (Darwin) Brimhall of Ogden, and Myrth (Jerry) Priest of Ogden; 16 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ownes, her parents and seven siblings.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. or Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

We are so appreciative to the entire staff of Advocate Hospice for helping us fulfill our mother''s wish to stay in her home and also to her wonderful neighbors and visiting teachers who were always so loving and watchful of her.
