Helen Bone Carmack Green

Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend returned home to her Heavenly Father and her loving companion Bill on Thursday, April 23, 2015.

Mom was born October 3, 1924 in West Layton, Utah to William Henry and Weltha Ann Bone. She was educated in Layton and graduated from Davis High School. During her childhood she learned important life lessons, including the value of hard work and how to get along with others while working on the family farm with her parents and eight siblings. She married her eternal sweetheart, William (Bill) Carmack Jr., November 16, 1946 in Las Vegas, NV. Their vows were later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

She worked for many years at Oceana Graphics in Clearfield. In 1975 they moved to Billings, MT. where she worked and retired from the Yellowstone School District. Her hobbies included her family, her dogs, crocheting, hunting and fishing anywhere with Bill. After Bill’s death in 1997 she returned to Kaysville to be by her family. She was active in the LDS Church and served two service missions at the Bishop’s Store House. In May 2000 she married LaMar Green.

She is survived and will be missed by her daughter, Claudia (Dave) Young of Kaysville; and her son, David Carmack of Clearfield; daughter-in-law Bobbie Carmack of Billings, MT. Also survived by, her last surviving sibling Wayne Bone, her brother-in-law Harold Perkins and sister-in-law Delores Bone. She has eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Son Wm Richard (Rick) Carmack, sisters Verla Barney, Lucille Rigby, Virginia Nielson, Clara Moultrie and Ruth Perkins, brothers Lewis and Sherman Bone.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Sallie and the staff at Chancellor Gardens for the love and care of our Mom. Also, Harmony Home, Dr. Gary Holland and the caregivers from Hospice for Utah.
