“Together Again”
Helen Krause Erbes, 93, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on March 28, 2018.
Helen was born on March 19, 1925 in Windsor, Colorado, daughter of Henry D. and Margarette K. Krause. She grew up in a hard-working family along with many brothers and sisters.
She married Samuel S. Erbes, on September 14, 1943. Together they began raising their two daughters in Colorado, then later settled in Ogden, UT. She worked diligently as a housewife and mother until her daughters graduated at which time she began working at Sears.
Helen was a pillar of faith for all who knew her, as she lived to serve the Lord. She was a faithful member of the Calvary Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, and was known for her kindness and generosity. She was a talented seamstress and was often called upon to sew a variety of projects. Helen valued hard work and appreciated the fruits of her labor from her garden.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Terry) Imlay and Geri Greer and 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild all of whom “Grandma loves very much.”
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law Mike McMerrick, and great-grandson Carter Jay McMerrick who she is certainly holding in her arms.
