Helen Gilgen, 79, passed away March 5, 2018 surrounded by family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She married Ron Gilgen on October 20, 1956. They were later sealed in the St George Temple on July 12, 1982.
She will be deeply missed and always remembered by her family and friends. She was extremely involved with the Special Olympics program in Arizona and continued when she and Robbie moved to Utah. She had a special place in her heart for all special needs children. She was the director of the MCARC in Kingman Arizona for close to 30 years where her son and husband worked alongside her every day. After her husband passed away two years ago her and Robbie moved to Utah to be close to family and loved spending time with them. At the time of passing she worked as a lunch lady at Leadership Learning Academy a charter school her great-grandchildren attended. She loved all the children and those she worked alongside with.
She is survived by her brother John (Connie), sisters Peggy (Jim), Larae (Bill) and Shirley, son Douglas (LaJeanne), Linda (Ron) and Elder Robbie Gilgen along with five grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Valerie Clark, her husband Ron Gilgen, along with two brothers and three sisters.
