WEST POINT a€" Helen Kazameas Hunt, 83, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Ogden Regional Medical Center, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born April 8, 1927 in Manchester, New Hampshire, a daughter of Vasilios "William" and Polyxene "Jennie" Emanuel Kazameas. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in New Jersey with a 4.0 GPA, later becoming a registered nurse.

She served her country with the U.S. Air Force in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she met her husband.

On June 16, 1951, Helen married Norman Glen Hunt. He preceded her in death in 1987.

She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration.

She worked as a nurse at McKay-Dee Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center.

Helen enjoyed sewing, baking and knitting for her family and friends, playing bridge and riding her adult tricycle.

Surviving are two daughters, Christine (Robert) Lowe, Liberty; Laura (Steve) Hilton, Riverdale; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her sister, Aphrodite Milonas, Dover, NJ.

Preceding Helen in death were her husband and son, Peter James.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will visit with friends at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
