Helen Jean Martin Olney Isaacson

April 5, 1934 ~ October 22, 2014

Helen Olney Isaacson, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.  She was the daughter of Lawrence Russell and Lilie Gisella Shuster Martin born on April 5, 1934 in Canton, Ohio.

She married Lynn W. Olney on April 23, 1977 in the Ogden LDS Temple.  Lynn passed away on November 17, 1986.  Helen married Elmer A. Isaacson in April of 1992 in the Ogden LDS Temple.  Elmer passed away on September 7, 2007.

Helen served in the Air Force traveling around the world.  She then worked at Hill Air Force Base as a clerk typist.  She graduated from Steven’s Henager College.

She enjoyed watching BYU football and traveling, especially going on cruises and to Disneyland with her daughter, Lillian.

Helen is survived by her sons, Richard Thomas, Judge R Lar Thomas (Roxanne), and Robert (Kathy) Thomas; daughters, Peggy Thomas, Nancy Thomas, and Lillian Thomas; stepchildren, Lyn Olney, Kevin Olney, Randall Olney, Delmar Olney, Vance Olney, Brian Olney, Charlene Fischer, Jerry Isaacson, Ron Isaacson, Jeff Isaacson, Judy Cummings, and Janet Howard; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, William Martin (Judy); and sisters, Carol Funkhouser, Donna (Bob) Hales, Connie (William) Robinson, and Shirley (Dick) Geiselman.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, and sister, Barbara Knepper.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank Specialty Nursing, Access Hospice, the nurses and doctors at Ogden Regional, and Pineview Rehab staff.
