Helen Jean Allen Moulton
Helen Jean Allen Moulton, 87, passed away on February 4, 2013.
I was born on March 8, 1925 in Salem, West Virginia to Oscar and Wilma Allen. My Aunt Mary Riddle helped raise me. I was educated and graduated in Salem, West Virginia.
I worked for a time at a Glass Factory in Salem, then worked at Good Year Aircraft Co. in Ohio. I enlisted in the Women''s Army Corps. on March 21, 1945, entering into service April 18, 1945. I was stationed at Bushnell General Hospital, Brigham City, Utah. At a USO meeting in Ogden, Utah, I met Warren Paull Moulton of Ogden, who had just returned home from overseas service with the Army-Air Force. We were married on December 27, 1945, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Ogden, Utah. Warren passed away in 1992.
I am survived by my daughter, Micki Jean (Curt Robbins) Chambers; 2 sons, Michael Warren Moulton, and Mark Allen (Winnie) Moulton, all of Ogden, Utah; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way; 3 half sisters, Mary Edith (Ken) Merritt, Harriet Ann (Jim) Harless, and Judith Carol Ballard, all of West Virginia; and my ex-daughter-in-law, Sherrie Mendoza who lives in Washington.
I was preceded in death by husband, Warren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Maxine Moulton; brother-in-law, Ronald Gilleard; parents and stepdad, and my special Aunt Mary Riddle, along with other loved ones.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
