LAYTON a€" Helen Polanco Onstott, 82, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013.

She was born August 18, 1931 in Brawley, California the daughter of Yndalicio Ambriz and Enriqueta Corrales Polanco Estrada.

She met LeRoy Elvin Onstott while working at Norton AFB and they were married on November 27, 1954 in San Bernardino, CA.

She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Helen served as President of Altar Society, Religious Education Teacher, Eucharistic Minister and Choir Member.

Helen retired from IRS as a Tax Examiner. She also tutored at the Dee Elementary School in Ogden.

She loved sewing, quilting, sculpturing, painting, doll collecting, bowling, fishing and genealogy.

Surviving are her husband LeRoy Onstott, Layton; sons, William A. (Orlena) Onstott, Jurupa Valley, CA; Paul A. (Annelle) Onstott, Olympia, WA; Joseph I. (Ashley) Onstott, Las Vegas, NV; Charles F. (Wendy) Onstott, Riverton; Jerome P. (Teresa) Onstott, Litchfield Park, AZ; Patrick A. Onstott, Mesa, AZ; daughter, Elizabeth A. (Bjorn) Orstam, Kungshamn, Sweden; nine grandchildren, three sisters, Henrietta Estrada, Orangevalle, CA; Evangeline Peraza, Fontana, CA; and Yolanda Holt, Battle Creek, MI.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Yndaleno Estrada and sister, Marina Faharty.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7 p.m.

Inurnment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah.
