Helen Grix Plowgian

A memorial service for Helen Grix Plowgian, daughter of Arthur W. Grix and Celia Hall, will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit the family at the mortuary from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Helen was born February 19, 1923 in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Utah State University and interned in dietetics at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Massachusetts. During her internship she met and married Benjamin H. Plowgian. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They are the parents of two children, Alan G. (Beverly) Plowgian and Martha Jo (Dwight) Krebs.

Helen taught Home Economics at the State Industrial School for many years and also at Bonneville High School and Highland Middle School. She loved her students and was loved by them.

Helen is survived by her children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

So many are going to miss her great food and the wonderful entertaining that she did!
