Helen Y. Shew of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on January 11, 2015. She was born in Ogden, Utah, on November 14, 1925. She was the third of twelve children born to See Lim and Hee Shee Yim. Her siblings include Rose, Susie, Mary, See Jin, George, Jim, Peter, Henry, John, Jerry (Harry), and Carolyn.

She retired after 23 years of service with the federal government. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and knitting. She has received several ribbons for her ceramics.

Helen is survived by two sons Ronald (Marcia) and Richard (Lorraine); 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew (Sable), Stephanie, and Kelly. Preceded in death by her siblings See Jin, Peter, Henry, Jerry, Rose, Susie, Mary, Jim, and John.

The family would like to express our gratitude to Highland Care Center and Valeo Hospice.

Private services were held and interment was at Ogden City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
