Helen Morge VANDERMEIDE

Together Again Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother was called home April 11, 2009. Helen was born June 18, 1925 in East Germany. She met and married Johannas VANDERMEIDE in Germany during World War II; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. The family immigrated to Utah in 1947, where five of their seven children, were born. Johannas passed away in 1963. Helen graduated from Brigham Young University. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse for many years. Helen was remembered by patients because of her excellent nursing care and here cute German accent. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; husband Johannas, daughter Judy, son in law-Richard and grandson Scott. Helen is survived by six children, John (Pat), Marion (Bob), Christina, Michael, Connie, Helen (Jack), seventeen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Love Hospice for the special care they provided. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday April 15, 2009 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call from 9:45-10:45 am prior to the services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
