Helen Bingham Wood

1930-2014

Bountiful, Utah - Helen Bingham Wood, age 84, passed away on February 8, 2014 after a valiant struggle from Renal Failure. Helen was born in Winnemucca, Nevada to Royal Wilbur and Sophia Leona Ray Bingham on February 3, 1930. She graduated from Wells High School and attended Utah State University, where she met her eternal sweetheart. She married Edwin L. Wood in the Logan Temple on September 22, 1950.

Helen spent her entire life in service, touching many lives through her music, as a mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in many church callings and served two service missions with her husband.

She is survived by her four sons, Dennis (Karin), Blair (Cindy), Ron (Joni), Jeffrey (Natalie); 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Royal and Sophia Leona Bingham, stepmother Bernice Mackey, brother Lynn, sister LaRae, daughter Vicki, and husband Edwin (Ted). The family wishes to express appreciation to Dr. Morris and Liberty Dialysis Center, Orchard Cove, Hospice, and all caregivers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 9:00- 10:30 am prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
