Hendrik Coenraad Jansen

September 5, 1970 — August 3, 2023

Our beloved son, husband, father and grandpa Hendrik Coenraad “Henk” Jansen died on August 3rd, 2023, at the age of 52 after a long and valiant fight with cancer. Henk passed peacefully in his home in West Haven, UT surrounded by his loving family.

Henk was born on September 5, 1970, to Hendrik “Henk” and Josephina “Jos” (van Breukelen)

Jansen in Soest, Netherlands. He grew up in Soest and served for a short time in the Dutch military. He met his first wife, Leigh Anne and they moved to Utah and raised three children.  They were later divorced.

Henk continued his highly reputable career as an electrician and became a loyal member of the IBEW. He was able to travel all over the countryside building substations and cell towers and enjoyed the outdoors where he cultivated many great friendships. Henk met and married Jillyn Riding Jansen while traveling on one of those work trips. He gained four additional children with this union.

Henk enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, attending sports games for his kids and grandkids, taking road trips with Jill and spending quality time with his family. He was a jack of all trades, and always the first one to lend a hand. Henk was one-of-a-kind and was fiercely loved by everyone around him because of his authenticity, charisma, goofy personality, and booming laugh. He was a cornerstone for his family and will be deeplymissed.

He is survived by his wife Jill; his three children Jayden(Sammy), Maryka (Kennedy) and Trevin. Bonus children Ashley (Kyle), McCall (Drex), Megan (Chavis), and Bree (Sam); his four grandchildren, Krue, Kynley, Navy, and Addie; his parents, Henk and Jos; his sister, Leontine (Pim), and brother, Jasper; his nieces, Floor and Fanny; and many others that loved him dearly.

The family would like to thank those that provided such great care at McKay Dee Hospital throughout the past few years and Intermountain Hospice for the love and care he received in hislast weeks.

Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on August 12, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lindquist Mortuary 3333 W 5600 S, Roy, UT 84067. His headstone will be placed at West Haven Cemetery at a later date.
