Henry Nickolas “Nick” Lombardi

Henry “Nick” Lombardi, 72, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at home in Layton due to complications from COPD.

He was born to Henry and Mae Amor Lombardi on January 2, 1942 in Plymouth, Indiana and was raised in North Liberty, Indiana.

Nick married his soul mate June Marguerite Taylor on September 30, 1967 in Bicester, England where they met and started their family.

He was a MSgt and retired from the U.S. Air Force with many assignments overseas and also retired from Civil Service at HAFB.  Nick loved to be outdoors especially in his backyard in the sunshine where he enjoyed the beautiful flowers and spending the day with his dogs.  He had a big heart and was such a caring person.   He was a very compassionate man and loved his family and dogs dearly.  He loved the many camping trips, parties, holidays and get togethers, so he could spend time with his family.

Surviving are his wife June Lombardi, children, Rick (Liana), Deanna (Dale), Paula (Bryan), Robert (Dusty), grandchildren, Brandon, Telicia, Tawni, Jacob, Sarah, Jerron, Vince, Nicole, great-grandchild, Braxton and his beloved pets, Muffin, Sprout and Mama.

Preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lombardi Sr., Mae Heim and Al Heim, and his faithful dogs, Nikki and Taylor.

We loved him dearly and he will be truly missed by us all.  Love you DAD “Smiley.”
