Henry Blaine Robbins
1941 ~ 2017
On the afternoon of September 9, 2017, our beloved husband, father, and grandpa, Henry passed away of natural causes. He was 75 years old.
Henry was born in Ogden, Utah, on November 30, 1941 to Elliot Kenneth Robbins and Athleen Bateman, the third of five children. Henry was loving, down-to-earth, kind, and caring, helping many through his life.
After attending Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, he worked with his father in construction building many homes throughout the Ogden area. He served in the Army Reserve, and soon began a career at Hill Air Force Base working on technology for reconnaissance and aerial photography until his retirement.
Henry had a love of classic cars, from collecting and restoring, to often finding him at the nearest car show, tinkering in the garage on a project or watching car races every Sunday. He knew how to fix just about anything that crossed his path. Throughout his life he often would enjoy fishing and the outdoors from Island Park to a neighborhood pond all the while blasting out country music on the car radio.
He is survived by his wife Debbie, sons Dan, Dallas, and Dustin (Tara), daughter Marnie, and brothers Ken (Julene) and LeRoy, along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Elliot and Athleen, sister Francis Yearsley, and brother Paul Robbins.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the LDS Church, 3352 N 1050 E. in North Ogden. A special Memorial gathering for friends, family, and neighbors will take place at his home at 4 p.m. the same day at 1234 E. 3100 N, North Ogden. Service entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
