Henry Van Den Hazel passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in the Netherlands to Maria and Bertus Van Den Hazel.  He married Ruth Elizabeth Miller in the Salt Lake Temple on September 22, 1950.

Henry was an active High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served his Country in the Air National Guard and Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Ruth; children Nancy Rasmussen, Henry (Claudia) Van Den Hazel,  Debra (Jesse) Green, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctor at the Bountiful Wound Clinic; Dr. Greg Kjar, Dr. David Horsley; IHC Hospice and a special thanks to his hospice nurse Renee for her love and tender care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Centerville 7th Ward Chapel, 270 N. 300 E.  Friends may visit family Friday, Feb. 10th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. from 9:30-10:30 am at the church prior to services.  Interment Centerville City Cemetery.
