HUNTSVILLE—Henry “Hank” Stark Manful, 29, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from a sudden illness. Hank was born on December 20, 1984 to Richard “Rich” and Vickie Coy Manful in Ogden Utah. He loved his childhood home and could not imagine living any other place. He lived and worked his entire short life in and around Huntsville. Hank was a member of the LDS Church. He was a Cub Scout and played on competition soccer and basketball teams during childhood. Hank attended Ogden Valley Schools and Weber High School. He was a student of and fascinated by world history. He also studied and was beginning to collect coins from ancient civilizations. He was a smart and very kind young man. Hank never had an unkind thing to say about anyone and he would refuse to hear or let others speak negatively about anyone else in his presence. Hank had a big heart when it came to his family, friends and pets.
Hank worked as a cook at The Grey Cliff Lodge Restaurant for nearly 14 years. He loved the owners Steve and Jodi Sniggs and considered them family. Hank also worked for many years as a machinist and most recently as a handyman. He really enjoyed working with and learning from John Kimball this past year. John and his wife Donna were greatly admired by Hank.
Hank loved his brother Eric and as a child would follow him everywhere. The Manful boys built tree houses, lit fireworks, planted gardens, and loved camping at La Plata and skiing and boarding at Snowbasin. Everywhere those boys went their dog Sarah was right there with them.
Hank loved dogs especially his best friend, a chocolate lab mix, named Joe. Hank was preceded in death by Joe.
