Henry “Hank”  Nobuaki Niitsuma

November 10, 1927 – March 24, 2015

Henry Nobuaki Niitsuma, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2015.  Henry was born on November 10, 1927 in Columbia, Utah to Denshiro and Fujiko Niitsuma.

He married Rose Toshiko Kawaguchi on January 21, 1955 in Elko, NV.

Henry served in the U.S. Army and Air Force for a number of years.  He worked at and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Henry liked tinkering, collecting tools, swap meets, working in the yard, small engine repair, and especially meeting his buddies for his morning coffee.  He found a lot of joy in his grandchildren.

Henry is survived by his two daughters, Sharon Niitsuma, and Lisa Skidmore (Kent); five grandkids, Justin, Jace, Jerika, Jentry and Jaxton; two great-grandsons, Zander and Kyler; two brothers, Robert and Floyd; four sisters, Mary, Heda, Toy, and May.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; a baby son, Mark; his parents; three brothers, and a sister.

Special thanks to Dee and Courtney and the staff at Summit Home Health and Hospice for the love and support they have given Henry and his family.

Henry had a private military burial on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.  Friends and family may pay their respects at a “Celebration of Life” open house held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
