HERBERT WALTER JONES JR.

1932 – 2018

Herbert Walter Jones passed away on January 26, 2018 following complications from diabetes. Herb was born on April 6, 1932 on a farm in Leigh Nebraska to Herbert W. Jones Sr and Viola B. Kusek.

He graduated from Kramar High School in Columbus, Nebraska in 1950. After graduation he worked for the railroad. He married Donna Rae Selleck on March 8, 1953 in Columbus, NE and shortly after joined the Air Force where he served in the Korean War.  Following his return from the Air Force, the family moved to Utah where he worked at HAFB. After his retirement he moved to Fruitland, Utah and later moved to Dolan Springs, Arizona.

He loved his home in Arizona, where he enjoyed farming, trips to Laughlin, and visits from his family. He is survived by his children Jackie Jones Manning (Mike) of Centerville, Kurt Jones (Janice) of Oklahoma and Sherry Jones Koon (Mark) of Centerville. He has 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A family graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. February 5, 2018 at the Centerville City Cemetery with Military Honors.  Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
