“Herb” Hollis Ray Batie

June 10, 1940 ~ December 27, 2014

Herb passed away on December 27, 2014 surrounded by his family.  Herb served in the US Navy, loved fishing, hunting, and metal detecting.  He had a great sense of humor and always had you laughing.

Survived by his best friend, Carolyn Coles Batie, married for 38 years; children, Leesa (Bob) Winn, Marci (Stephen) Nellessen, and Brandon (Hollie) Batie; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Reunited in Heaven with his parents, brother, twin sister, grandson, and great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Salt Lake City Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at 1410 East 1400 North, Layton.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
