Hiltrud J. Wilmot, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 27, 2023, at Chancellor Gardens in Clearfield.
Born April 5, 1929, in Wurzburg, Germany, she was the only child of Margaret Vogel and Adam Wilhelm Linz.
She was married to US Army Soldier George Henry Wilmot on April 16, 1949, in Wurzburg. George passed on March 5, 2009. They raised five children together.
Hiltrud retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1995 from Logistics & Supply. She had worked prior at St. Benedict’s Hospital as a nurse’s aide for a number of years.
Hiltrud is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Donald) Mosher, Layton; Tamara “Tam” (Barry) Mosher, Roy; Sandra “Sandee” (Gary) Bruce, Syracuse; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Cody, Chastity, Kimberly, Chad, Lacey, and Brandon; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Terry S. Wilmot and Gordon D. Wilmot; and by her granddaughter, “Cassee” M. Bruce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton.
Friends may visit family from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 12th at Lindquist Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton.
Interment, Lindquist Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., South Ogden.
