Homer Brighton
KAYSVILLE – Homer Brighton, age 83, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Ogden, Utah due to a massive stroke. Dad left behind his wife of 57 years, DeLores McClellan of Kaysville, daughters Bernice (David) Falls of Ogden, Janet (Jeff) Davis of Pleasant View, sons Gregory (Jean) Brighton of Kaysville, Brent of Ogden, David of Monument, CO; 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Carmene (Arlen) Dilworth of Carey, ID.
He started life April 13, 1925 on a farm near Idaho Falls, ID. As a young boy, his parents and friends were very impressed with his natural musical ability. Throughout his years he spent many hours enjoying the piano. After serving in the Navy in WWII, he was a pharmacist student studying at what is now Idaho State University in Pocatello where he met his bride. Mom and dad eventually settled in Sunset, Utah where they lived for 39 years. The past 11 years they have resided in Kaysville. Homer worked as a pharmacist throughout Northern Utah. He served many years in the LDS church in various music callings. He played for the Autumn Glow Singers of the Autumn Glow Sr. Citizens Center in Kaysville. Homer will always be remembered for his patience and kindness and his funny sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville 7th Ward, 50 W. 331 So. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden.
