Hope Alene Edelman

November 27, 1959 – November 26, 2021

On Friday, November 26, 2021, Hope Alene Edelman, our Angel in Disguise, passed away surrounded by family. She was born on November 27, 1959, to Thomas L. Speirs and Jeana L. Speirs. She was the youngest of 12 children. On May 31, 1980, she married the love of her life, Robert A. Edelman. She devoted her life to being a caring mother and a loving wife.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She had a passion for music, which she shared with anyone that would listen. She believed in the gospel and loved her collection of angels. She was known to have a sassy yet charismatic personality, and let’s not forget to mention that infectious smile she shared so generously; she was kind and had a true heart of gold.

Mom, you were an angel without wings that blessed our lives with the most precious things. As you spread your wings, another chapter has begun, full of grace and glory. We all know that there is no ending to your story. We will keep "hope" within our hearts and know that you are watching over us.

Hope was preceded in death by her baby boy, Jesse Edelman, her parents and siblings, Jeanne M. Lovelady and Gary L. Speirs. She is survived by her husband, Robert, her children: Shawn (Richard) Hall, Tara Sachse/Brad Schofield, Chuck (Audrey) Edelman, Katie (Chris) Jones, Krista (Tony) Hall, Casey (Kristi) Edelman, and Becca (Logan) Wheeler; her siblings: Thomas Speirs Jr., Douglas Speirs, Joseph Speirs, Coleen Edelman, Aaron Speirs, Mary Hanni, Carol Carrell, Roger Speirs, and Ken Speirs; 29 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Hope has asked for donations to be made to Primary Children’s Hospital.

Her celebration of life will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Farmington 3rd Ward chapel, 825 South 50 East Farmington, Utah. Friends may visit with family from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.  Interment will be at the Farmington Cemetery at 500 South 200 East, Farmington, Utah.
