Howard Eugene Grange III
1954-2017
Salt Lake City, UT - Howard Eugene Grange III, 62, passed away January 21, 2017 at his home in Murray, Utah.
He was born July 14, 1954 in San Diego, California the son of Howard Eugene and Naomi Higginbotham Woodbury Grange.
Howard married Linda Marie Astin together they had a son Jeremy and daughter Candace, later divorced. He married Susan Marie Weihs later divorced. Then married Karlene Davis together they had Stephanie Grange. He served in the US Navy during Viet Nam War on the USS Andersen. He was very proud of his time in the service.
He was a cosmetologist and owned Cove Point University of Hair Design, after he taught at Cameo College. His passion was to teach! Michael Hopkins and Howard worked together for many years, as well as being best friends.
Howard was rough around the edges but had a giving heart. He was avid collector of all things. We are grateful he is no longer in pain. We will miss you Dad and your amazing hugs! Go Seahawks!
Survived by his daughters Stephanie Grange, Candace Nelson, son Jeremy Wade; six grandchildren; Dominik, Kassidy, Alaxander, Christiann, Xander and Cassius; sister Frankie Cheel (Dan), brothers Bill Grange (Kathy) and Drew Grange and many nieces and nephews; close friends Jay Vega and Tom DeBord.
Preceded in death by his parents; nephew, James Cheel and Michael Hopkins his best friend.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January, 27, 2017 at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd. Bluffdale, Utah with visitation prior from 10:00 – 10:45 am under the directions of Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
