Hudson Curtis Hicks
Heaven’s gain was our loss when Hudson Curtis Hicks, our Little Warrior, was called home.
Hudson was born June 24, 2019 at 9:29 a.m., weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and 18 inches long passed peacefully in the loving arms of his parents on July 12, 2019, there must have been something special about this day because it was the day he was due to enter our world.
His life was a brief gift to us that will live on through someone else. His heart valves were donated to another child in need. He is the most precious boy and so deeply loved, he was a brave warrior who fought till the very end but ultimately his tiny body needed to rest.
During Hudson’s short stay on earth he swooped the hearts of many, including his medical staff, NICU nurses, family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his three older brothers, who loved to express their love, sing and gush over him via face time. Hudson was welcomed into heaven by his grandfather’s Mikel Curtis Hicks Sr., Thomas Hudson Timberlake Jr. and his great grandmother’s Sylvia Lee Davenport. Artis Maxine Hicks and Ingeborg Van Vickle and many, many other loved ones. There’s no doubt this little boy had a grand entrance at the pearly gates.
Hudson leaves behind many broken hearts, his parents Mikel Curtis Hicks, Tierza Lee Hicks, three older brothers; Khayden Eduard, Anakhin Mikel and Calvin Lee Hicks. Grandmother Deean Hicks, Nana and Papa Eduard and Teresa Neuendorf. Males dominate in our family with him having seven uncles and getting the bonus of five aunties, Thomas Timberlake III, Timothy (Marie) Timberlake, Donny (Lindsay Brown) Timberlake, Ricky (Stacy Salazar) Neuendorf, Matt (Alexis) Hicks, Miles (Shandee) Hicks, and Masen Hicks. He would have loved to run and play with 21 cousins and many of extended family.
The family would like to graciously thank his medical team, friends and family for the support and countless hours of help during this most saddening time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made at any America First Credit Union for Hudson Hicks Memorial Fund #9111329.
