Hue T. Nguyen, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Stonehenge Assisted Living.
In 1947, she met and fell in love with Tam Van Phung. The couple were married in 1953 and stayed together 66 years until Tam’s passing in 2019.
Hue was a dedicated wife and mother of eight children. She had an unconditional love for her husband and children. Tam was an Army officer of the Republic of Vietnam, South Vietnam, he was forced into a hard labor camp by the Vietnamese Communists after the fall of his country in 1975. Which was very hard on Hue and their children. After he was released six years later, Tam, Hue, and three of their children were granted political refugee status by the United States Government and resided in Utah from April 1994 until their deaths.
Hue will be missed by her family.
