Hugenia D. Sacco
UINTAH HIGHLANDS – Hugenia Dorothy Bemenderfer Sacco, 88, has gone home to be with her beloved Carlo. She died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Legacy House Assisted Living.
She was born December 21, 1918 in Ogden, a daughter of Hugh H. and Emma K. Bemenderfer. She attended Ogden High School.
Hugenia married Carlo Anthony Sacco on July 24, 1936 in Salt Lake City.
Hugenia was a wonderful cook. She was devoted to her husband of 69 years, and her faithfulness was the basic ingredient of their loving relationship. Together they enjoyed roller skating and working in the family produce business. She loved her family, her beautiful home and the flowers surrounding it. Her total unselfishness and patience towards others was her greatest assest along with her unconditional love for her children. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for a crowd. Hugenia had a warm smile and beautiful handwriting. She exercised her mind by working crossword puzzles, watching games shows and testing her luck playing her hand held poker machine.
She is survived by one sister, Billie Ruth Shaw, Ogden; eight children, Carla (Albert) Cash, Hanover, PA; Diana Sacco, Ogden; Catana (Zack) Phillips, North Ogden; Bernadette Sacco (Rex Allaman), Elizabethtown, KY; Hugh (Sheran) Sacco Sr., Uintah; Carlo (Susan) Sacco, Jr., Kaysville; Dominic (Candi) Sacco, North Ogden; Ricky Sacco, Seattle, WA; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Hugenia was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo A. Sacco, her parents, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
