Ignacio “Bill” Perea, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Brigham City.

He was born February 19, 1927 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Mike Duran and Ignacita Perea.

On December 28, 1946, Bill married Estella Garcia, after a two week courtship. They resided in Ogden until 2000 and then moved to Brigham City.

Bill was employed at Hill Air Force Base, where he was a janitor and retired as a missile mechanic after 31 years. In addition to being a skilled auto body mechanic, which he learned from his father at a young age, he was truly a man of all trades.

He was a faithful member of the Assemblies of God, where he served in multiple ministries, his favorite being the ministry of music, where he played the trumpet. Dad was a humble and gentle man who loved God, his family and his church. A trophy of God’s grace. (Psalms 37:23) He was a role model as a father and husband, always giving Godly advice.

He was always there for his children and stood behind us no matter our situation or what we were going through, always giving unconditional love.

Dad was a faithful and loving husband to Mom, taking care of her until her passing.

The family would like to thank Integrity Hospice caregivers, for their compassion and excellent care of our father.
