Ila Palmer Tidwell passed away Friday, July 10, 2015.
She was born September 1, 1927 in Provo, Utah, a daughter of Newell B. and Mary Elizabeth Gurr Palmer. She was raised in Logan and graduated from Logan High School.
On April 20, 1945, Ila married Blaine R. Tidwell in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving two missions with her husband and a Temple worker for three years.
Her joy and love in life was her husband, Blaine, her children, and grandchildren. She loved serving them and all others. In turn, she was loved by all.
Ila is survived by her husband of more than 70 years, Blaine R. Tidwell; their children, Steve (Annie), Debbie Young (Dick), Bruce (Shawna), Doug (Deborah), Paul (Colleen), 22 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Lorin Farr 3rd Ward Chapel, 1570 East 13th Street, Ogden. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Smithfield Cemetery.
