Ilah Beth Morley
OGDEN- Ilah Beth Morley, after living a long and enduring lifetime, has finally returned home to her Heavenly Father.
She was born July 1, 1920 in Kanesville, Utah to her loving parents Henry Alton and Vera Hazel Peek. There she lived, played, and worked on the family farm along side her brothers, Ralph Alton and Fred Henry, whom she loved very much.
Ilah attended school in Hooper and graduated from Weber High School. She then went to work in the laundry area at the Ogden Union Station. She also worked at Wangsgaard’s for twenty years, where she made many friends she enjoyed very much.
After the war, Ilah met and married John Heber Morley on August 18, 1946 in Ogden. Together they raised five children, Michael Lee (Lynda), Kerry John (Anne), Cheryl Anne, Debbie Jill (Joe) Cross, and Scott Roger (Marilyn). Ilah has sixteen grandchildren whom she adored and did so much for, and in return, loved her so much. She also has eleven great-grandchildren who were her delight.
Ilah had many good neighbors who she loved very much and her good friends at the beauty shop, and, her good friends at Sees Candy in the Newgate Mall. One of Ilah’s favorite hobbies was knitting and meeting with her good friends at Knit Club.
She lived a good life giving everything she had to make someone else happy. She’ll be missed very much. But now she is able to move on with those who are waiting for her on the other side, where we all will meet again someday.
