Ione Bodily Keller

August 1, 1933 ~ April 14, 2016

Our cherished mother passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 14, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Ione was born on August 1, 1933 to William Vernon and Hazel Ione Bodily in Thatcher, Utah.  She attended and graduated from Davis High School in the class of 1951.

She married Leonard Lamont Keller on November 14, 1952.  Together they had three children and made their home in the Ogden area.

Ione worked for Safeway Stores until their closing.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings.

Ione enjoyed traveling and took many cruises over the years.  She also enjoyed gardening and scrapbooking.

Ione is survived by her children, Curtis V. (Deborah) Keller of West Point; Vicki Marriott of Orem; and Shirley (Rick) VanLeeuwen of South Ogden; brother, Larry Bodily of Chualar, CA; and special friends, Terry and Chella Wilson of Plain City, UT; 13 grandkids and 21 great-grandkids.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 2014; sisters, Shirley Olson and Marion Snider; and brother, Guy Bodily.

Our family would like to express our sincere thanks for the wonderful care and support that she received from Mountain Ridge Assisted Living in South Ogden as well as CNS Health Care/Hospice and their staff and Dr. Vincent Hansen for his many years of support and friendship.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.  and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
